Volunteer for Lighthouse
Standing Together Against Rape (STAR) offers a 20-hour training program to provide volunteers with the skills and knowledge necessary to insure adequate services for victims. Volunteers must fully understand the terms of their contracts and agree to at least one year of committment after successful completion of the volunteer crisis worker training.
The SART/SANE program also works diligently to recruit and train nurses annually for the purposes of the forensic medical exam. The initial training to become a certified SANE is 40 hours of classroom and clinical instruction.
