Rape Crisis Intervention and Counseling

Lighthouse offers rape crisis counseling and intervention through the STAR (Standing Together Against Rape) progam.

STAR employs master’s level counselors to provide free counseling that facilitates recovery from victim to survivor. We offer individual counseling and emotional support to victim’s families and/or significant others. Group counseling is also provided for victims to share their experience and gain support from each other. All counseling is based on the empowerment model, which holds that the victim knows what is best for his or her own recovery.
