Our Process
1. Accessing Substance Abuse Services
Counselors who treat people with substance use disorders do life-changing work on a daily basis.
Access to services is made via a telephone call to the office (334) 286-5980 requesting assistance.
At the time of the telephone contact, several questions are asked as part of the screening process to determine client current situation, symptoms and the appropriate initial course of action.
Following the screening and based on needs, clients will either receive referrals to other community agencies or will be given an appointment to come in for the complete psychosocial assessment.
2. Accessing Prevention Services
Prevention Educators are available to offer services to the general public given advanced notice. All services provided by the Prevention Department are at no cost to the public. Some of our services offered include small group presentations, school presentations, church group presentations, after school groups, and HIV educational groups.
If a person is interested in obtaining an HIV test, please call ahead to schedule an appointment; however walk-ins are welcomed.
There is no charge for any of the services provided by the Prevention Department.
To access these services, please call (334) 286-5980 ext. 247.
